Palomar Starlux IPL, by Dr. Grover

A short clip demonstrating permantent hair removal using the highly effective Starlux intense pulse light device.
Laser hair removal and Intense Pulse light devices typically take 6 treatments to clear unwanted hair. They work by treating the follicle growth region and eliminating the cells that generate new hair. Waxing and other methods typically sheer the hair shaft off and don’t give permanent results. Our treatment has minimal discomfort, and we recommend treating every 3 weeks to treat the hairs. Multiple treatments are required by any type of hair reduction since the hair follicle respond to light only when they are in active growth and not dormant. Usually about 1/3 are active in a treatment, but varies on treatment location. We can treat any region except for scalp or eyebrows. Doctors warn of beauty laser dangers

clipped from www.smh.com.au

HUNDREDS, possibly thousands, of women are suffering permanent
skin damage at the hands of untrained beauty therapists who are
operating laser and intense pulsed light machines.

In the worst cases, therapists are misdiagnosing melanomas as
pigmentation and treating them with laser or IPL, with potentially
fatal consequences.

There is no legislation in NSW regulating these devices, which
are used for skin blemishes and hair removal.

Anyone can buy a machine and set up business, with the result
that women are suffering scars, burns and pigment loss.
